How it Works

SupportAnyPC is made up of two components. The first part is for your internal use. This is called the SupportAnyPC listener. This program needs to be running on the computers that you wish to do support from. The listener loads into the Windows system tray and waits for connections from remote computers that you wish to support.

The right most icon is the SupportAnyPC listener

The second component is a file that you need to place on the web or email to the individuals that you wish to support. This file is always called support.exe. Ideally this file should be on a http or ftp server. When your customers navigate to this file, they will be presented with a message and a dialog indicating that their machine is about to be remote controlled:

Message presented to end user alerting them that their computer is about to be
remote controlled.

Next the user is presented with a dialog box asking them to select a machine to connect to. If you have multiple support computers, this allows them to pick a machine based on where you are rather than having them run a different program like other packages do:

End user can pick from a list which support computer to connect to.

Once they have picked a support computer to connect to, their desktop will popup in a window on that support computer. At this point you can reboot, remote control, or transfer files to their computer!
